EDUCATION MALAYSIA GLOBAL SERVICES (EMGS)

Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) is wholly owned subsidiary of the Ministry of Education of Malaysia. It is a company limited by guarantee incorporated under the laws of Malaysia. In managing the One Stop Centre for International Student Services, EMGS believes in the continuous upscaling of process efficiency and embraces new technology. Prioritizing customer service and transparency in its operations, EMGS has introduced value added services, mobile and online applications that provide convenience and support transparency and new initiatives for operational efficiency. All towards providing convenient, fast and professional services to global students who choose Malaysia to live, study and grow. EMGS scope of services include :

 

  1. Management and Processing of International Student Applications for a Student Pass/Visa to Public and Private Higher Education Institutions in Malaysia.

  2. Management and Processing of the annual renewals of Student Pass/Visa and I-Kad International Students.

  3. Enhance the Management of International Student Welfare & Engagement with International Students.

  4. Promote Malaysia as an International Education Hub, Globally.

IMMIGRATION DEPARTMENT OF MALAYSIA

The Immigration Department of Malaysia is under the Ministry of Home Affairs, which provides services to Malaysian Citizens, Permanent Residents and Foreign Visitors. The functions of the department are as follows :

  1. Issuing of passports and travel documents to Malaysian Citizens and Permanent Residents.

  2. Issuing of visas, passes and permits to Foreign Nationals entering Malaysia.

  3. Administering and managing the movement of people at authorized entry and exit points.

  4. Enforcing the Immigration Act 1959/63, Immigration Regulations 1963, Passport Act 1966, Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants Act 2007 (Amendment 2010)
