Offers you experience in the exciting world of graphic design, digital arts and visual communications. Expand on your creative talents through practical exercises in design, pre-press, web development, multimedia, photography, production, interpretation of briefs, branding, marketing and client/project management. You will be studying in a laboratory of high-end Mac graphic workstations using industry standard Adobe software including Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Acrobat and InDesign. You will also have access to commercial-grade photography and drawing/illustration studios. During the qualification, you will work on a number of web design, DVD and branding projects that will add to a professional portfolio.

 

 

Entry Requirements

The general minimum requirement for entry is as follows:

• Obtained at least 5 Credits in O Levels or Senior High School Certificate/Senior Secondary School/other equivalent pre-university examination from the government school (with the period of at least 12 years of study from primary to higher secondary) in any subjects; OR

• Any other certificate that is recognized by Polytechnic’s equivalent to the above; AND

• Obtained at least pass (Grade E) in Mathematics (Maths or Ad Maths), English Language, Visual Arts Education, Art Education and Engineering Drawing; AND

• Candidates must not be colour blind and physically handicapped which will complicate practical works.
